Canada 150 celebrations at City Hall Saturday

Canada’s 150th birthday and the country’s
kaleidoscope of cultures will be front and centre this weekend at City Hall and
the Richmond Cultural Centre.
This Saturday, FUNntastic Canada 150 will
feature a parade around city hall led by a band of musicians, multicultural
celebrations along with a ceremony honouring the strong friendship between the
Philippines and Canada.
Organized by the Multicultural Helping House
Society Richmond 55+sers, the June 10 event runs from 9 a.m. to noon at the
Richmond City Hall plaza.
On Saturday afternoon, the fun shifts to the
Richmond Cultural Centre’s courtyard, from 1 to 4 p.m. The entertainment
includes a volleyball tournament, a hip-hop dance competition, music, Zumba,
yoga and board games.
